How would you pronounce this name?
Josqueze. This is the name of one of our agents, from whom I took a sup call this morning. The caller at one point asked me the name of the agent to whom he had spoken before I took the call. I realized at that point that I had no idea how to pronounce his name. I'd only seen his name in type in the chat and had never heard it said. So I had to wing it. Turned out I was completely incorrect in how I winged it, as I found out a few minutes later when I asked a trainer how his name is pronounced. So I thought I'd ask to see if my guess was totally ridiculous. I'll post the correct answer once I think I've received all of the responses I'll get.

ANSWERIt's je-KEZ. An E sound in the first syllable rather than an O sound, the S is totally silent, and the second syllable rhymes with "says."I said, "jos-QUAY-zee", lol.

Woah! Do you know anything about where the name came from?

Well, he's African-American, so it seems to be a part of their naming culture. I'm guessing the parents made it up. I see a lot of such names, but this is the only one that threw me for such a loop as to the pronunciation.

ha-SKAY-say?I mean, I looked at it and said JOE-squeeze, but I wouldn't really expect it to be pronounced that way.Either way, it looks like a mess. No offense to the agent.

Joe-SQUEH-zuh? I really want to say joe-squeeze, but the single e makes me think that's a no.
