French names aren't really combos, as such. Babies are given a bunch of honoring family names at birth. So sometimes those will be female names. It's not as common as it used to be, but it's still not unusual to see a boy with Marie or Catherine or Raymonde or whatever as a middle name.

I only know men with Marie as a female given name (as MN and out of religious reasons). I've never met a male Raymonde or something. But maybe I'm too young for this tradition. Anyway, it's quite interesting...
But I don't care, if they just give all these names to honour family members.. It doesn't make it better IMO ;)***
