Celebrity BA
American Idol Season 8 winner, Kris Allen, and his wife, Katy, welcomed their second child on Saturday, June 18th. Rose Elizabeth ("Rosie") joins big brother, Oliver Neil.WDYT? I like the names! I especially like that Rose is used in the fn spot."Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." -- Martin Luther King, Jr.

I like Rose and Elizabeth, but I find the combo and Oliver Neil incredibly dull.

I like this combination Rose Elizabeth and Oliver Neil... When I more prefer Elisabet or Eliška.

Nice!Definitely better than what we've been seeing...

I think Rose Elizabeth "Rosie", while traditional and safe, is utterly precious!

Oliver and Rose are sweet together. I also like seeing Rose as a first name. I expect it to rise fairly quickly soon actually. I also like Elizabeth, but think it's a pretty filler MN in its own right.

Good, decent names. Nice with Rose used as a first name and not as a filler.

My niece is Rose ElaineI like Rose Elaine better than Rose Elizabeth. I'm tired of Oliver, but I love Neil.

They bore me.Yes, more people are using Rose in the FN spot, but the problem is, more people are using Rose in the FN spot. I've seen Rose in a few recent celeb BA's, and now I'm officially tired of hearing it. Rose Elizabeth...YAWN.Oliver Neil isn't much better. It's cute, but so what? Boy names like that always bother me. Oliver and Owen are the top offenders, with Jasper and Sebastian close behind (though I don't think Jasper is as cute as the others, but lots of people disagree).

Just read today that Rose and Elizabeth were (are?) the baby's ggms so that makes it more appealing to me. Personally, I find Elizabeth in the middle so uninspiring even though I like it. Guess that's why I never used it with my three girls. I'd probably be more inclined to use it as a fn.

Who cares? Just because they're honoring, that doesn't make them any less boring, IMO.

It's very nice. That's really all you can say about it; it isn't ugly and it isn't very interesting or unexpected, but it's not totally predictable like her brother's name.

OMG congrats to Kris! I love him!!!Anyways, I think they're both very nice names, and I'm not just saying that from a fan's perspective! lol they flow perfectly together.

I am honestly glad they didn't decide to go alliterative with their family and use all K-names!I think Oliver and Rose are darling as a sibset. While it is not totally my style, I appreciate the simple elegance.

I love Rose and I agree with you in that I like to see it as a first name rather than overused in the middle name slot, and Rose Elizabeth flows well. I've never liked Oliver, though. Just makes me think of olives. I like olives, but not in a name, lol.

I agree with you about Oliver. Even though I like it, I'd probably never use it. In fact, I know I wouldn't. It also bothers me when I see Oliver, I think, oh, liver. LOL, it just bugs me as does Alice (a lice). :-)Re: Oliver again, for some reason, I don't think of olives when I see or hear Olivia. Not sure why that is.
