Benedictfor sure. I wish I could use Benedict but would feel weird doing so in the U.S. Ariston is some aristocracy bs.

BenedictIt's a guilty pleasure name for me, not because it's too unusual, but because I have a no crush names rule. Ariston reminds me of Jennifer Aniston (not a bad association but meh), and I'm not a big fan of the sound.

Benedict...I don't mind Ariston, but at first glance it looks too trendy, too Ashton-ish.

AristonBecause I love the meaning, and I adore the nickname Ari.

AristonI don't like Ariston or Benedict, but Benedict is the dorky, pretentious kid to me so Ariston is just the better of two evils for me.

BenedictIs that AIR-iss-ton, like Aniston? It's trendy surnamey Aniston, but this time, not so easily mistaken for a girl.
Or is it ah-RIST-ton, like aristocrat? Rhyme piston?Doesn't matter, either way I agree with Gracie. Benedict is friendly, first-namey, and has a nice meaning. Could be religiousy or not at all. It has a few words and things associated, but none of them are important enough to detract from it, at least not enough for "Ariston" to compete. There are too many of them for it to matter anyway, like with John.

AristonI was thinking of Benedict the other day and thought it was kinda cool. Then I thought of "Don't be a Benedict Arnold." I chose Ariston just because I really like it.

AristonBenedict makes me think of three things---a cowled monk, eggs, and brandy. I tend not to like names that make me think of things.

Benedict!I love Benedict. Ben is a great nickname. IMO Benedict is less wishy washy feeling than Benjamin and stronger than Bennett.
Ariston feels very surnamey and trendy though uncommon. That may not reflect it's origins, but it is the vibe I get.
