Greek origin:Artemide - Sorry, but I dislike that. Better is Artemis. But it is a name for Godesss.
Demetra - Not much. Demetria or Demétér is much better.
Persefone - Very pretty
Berenice (beh-reh-NEE-cheh) - Nice pronunciation. But I more like Bereniké.
Leuconoe - Better is Leukothéa
Misia (MEE-zee-ah) - That sounds like mission (In Czech mise [mee-seh])
Polissena - Sounds interesting
Licia (LEE-cha) - I don't like Italian pronunciation.. Lee-see-uh
Dafne (DAHF-neh) - Very good!Medieval soundViolante - Not my style
Ginevra - I like it
Clarice (klah-REE-cheh) - I more prefer Clarisa
Armida - ???
Bianca - I love it!!
Amelia (ah-MEH-lyah) - Very pretty

I like all of these:
Violante
Ginevra
Clarice - Though I prefer the French Clarisse. We specifically chose this spelling for two reasons: 1) So my Italian relatives wouldn't pronounce the "che" and 2) so the word "rice" wasn't in the name!
Armida
Bianca - One of my favorites
Amelia
Beatrice - much prettier pronounced this way.Plus,
Priscilla - a fave
Lavinia - a fave, though I prefer Lovinia
Drusilla - a fave
Larissa

I really like the Italian pronunciation of the -ice names, Berenice and Clarice which I think are hideous pronounced the English/French way. Italian Beatrice is gorgeous (Miss Jean Brodie thought so too :-))I also like:Persefone
Polissena (from my favourite play and much less clunky than Polyxena)
Dafne (DAHF-neh)
Violante - it kind of makes me laugh as it sounds so much like violent, but I love it!
Livia
Flaminia
LucreziaSabrina is really an English name!
