Asia?
I don't know what the deal is but I keep running into girls named Asia. So far I know 4 girls ages 12-24, named Asia.WDYT of this name?

Honestly, the only little girls I have known named Asia were black and hispanic girls. I find it a strange choice of name for anyone.
Additionally, I know the name is really popular amongst strippers, porn stars, and models for some reason.

I know quite a few Asias - but usually spelled Aja. Singer Shania Twain also has a son named Eja, which I always thought was ...different.I think it's pretty and so is Asiana. Wouldn't use either though.

I think it's really lovely.

Not a fan.I remember hearing this name was trendy in Italy for a while, most likely due to the popularity of Asia Argento.

It's definately not my style. i think it would make a good pet name.

Seems silly to me - so very large, so very varied - but I suppose people are getting bored with naming their daughters India and China, so it's a logical progression. It's also a whole lot better than Bangladesh!

I personally have always loved the name Asia, there is just something about it to me. I think of beautiful images in my head plus I just love the way it looks spelled out :-)

To me it's a continent, not a name. I knew a girl in middle/high school with this name and she was not Asian, which I can't decide if that's more strange or more appropriate than an actual Asian person named Asia. Either way, I'm not a fan.
