Zephyr
DH mentioned he liked Zephyr today, for a boy. I like it too but it's never been high on my list. WDYT?

It's an okay name, wouldn't use it myself but don't cringe when I hear it.

Not a fan.
Also, I can imagine people butchering the pronunciation.

I'd think it was cool if I saw it on a fictional character. If I saw it on a kid? I'd think his parents were trying too hard.

It's very airy-fairy, and if I was a boy I would not like being called it. I wouldn't like it as a girl either, but since it sounds like either perfume or maybe a toy unicorn, I think it'd be better on a girl.

It's just like my style.

I love zephyr. It's on my list for another boy one day.

I like it, but it's not too high on my list because it seems to be becoming a pretty popular choice recently. I also really like the meaning- "the west wind," and the connection to the Greek god Zephyros.

I really want to like it. It's a cool name, unusual, but still accessible. But everytime I hear it I immediately think 'hefer' (as in the insult), which is really annoying. I hope I get over it someday.
