Yes, a nice short name, I prefer the Katja spelling-the best look for this name, as well as Anja, Tanja, Nadja, Ronja, Sonja, Sanja, Mirja and so on.

I don't mind it =) The problem I find with it is pronunciation. I used to look after a Katyah and a lot of the staff, maybe because of the "h", used to pronounce it "kart-y-AH" rather than "KAH-tyah". Here in Australia, I can imagine many would try to make Katia similar to Katie, so "KATE-y-ah" might be the result. I think Katya is the safest pronunciation-wise =)

I prefer Catia. There's a street near my house called Catia Street and I always thought it was pretty.

I prefer Katia to Katya, but I prefer Katla (unrelated) to both.

I like Katya very much. Not keen on Katia at all, as it lacks the spunky look of Katya and the pronunciation would be in jeopardy. I first heard of Katya on BBC Television since they have a news reporter called Katya Adler

Katya is nice. It's not my style but I think it's a pleasant name. The spelling I prefer is Katja follwed by Katia and Katya last. The Y bothers me.

I prefer Katya to Katia. Katia just is begging to be pronounce Katie-ah. I also like the spelling Katja, but that also poses some problems in English speaking countries.

I like Katya, I think it's lovely.Bit random, but there was a drag queen on Rupaul's drag race named Katya and I loved her, she was hilarious so it makes the name even better to me!
