WDYTO Wyvern? Nickname ideas? Combos? Gender? Is it usable as a name?

I like it! It sounds like the name of a dragon or mythological creature. Okay, I just looked it up, and it actually is a type of dragon. Although it is cool, it would probably be too much for a child, but it would make a great name for a cat or a hamster with ambitions of grandeur.

Well, if you can use Griffin and Phoenix ... why not Wyvern?
It sounds fantasy-gamer-ish to me but that doesn't make it unusable.
Masculine, probably. Kinda harsh on a woman.
