Clementina, Clemency and Magnolia
What are your thoughts on these three names? They were suggested to me as full names for Minnie in the thread below. I'm not sure whether they're too much of a stretch to work for Minnie, but I really like considering them on their own. I've never thought much about Clementina, but I think I really like it. Clemency I've liked as a middle name before (Susanna Clemency) but I've never considered it as a first name. Magnolia is an old favourite I've forgotten about until now. Do you think she would be bound to be a Maggie? I'm not a Maggie fan.

Clementina is nice! I like it more than Clementine, it's both stronger and prettier.
Clemency just makes me think of felons being sentenced. It's something you beg for.
Magnolia nn Minnie is a stretch, but you could start as you mean to go on, just don't even let her learn she's Magnolia until she can write it and say it clearly, and it would likely happen. I think a Magnolia would be as likely to become Nolie or Nola, as Maggie.

If you're not a Maggie fancier, then avoid Magnolia. And Magdalen. Others will be!Clementina is a good way to ensure the EE (rather than IE) pronunciation. But it makes an already long name really unmanageable for everyday use. I know a Clementene, which looks awful but also establishes the pronunciation very clearly. She goes by Clemmie, which is the risk you take, I suppose.I've always loved Clemency. With Joy and Felicity, it's my favourite virtue name. (For the record, I don't enjoy Clemence or Clementine.) Whether Minnie would last as a nn, I'm not sure, because Clem(mie) is so well known, but it would be worth a try.

Magnolia is a favorite of mine. I like Nola as a nickname, or Lia. The other 2 names aren't my style, I just don't like the clem sound.

Magnolia is very sweet I like it. I love Maggie as a nn and think it's pretty inevitable with Magnolia as a longer name. Clemency does absolutely nothing for me, I don't like it at all.Clementina is alright, though I much prefer Clementine. Minnie could possibly work as a nn for either though.
