I always loved Indian names! I knew a girl in grammar school named Mira, only Mira I ever knew. She was a twin. I especially liked Mohamed and Ahmed. Lakshimi has always been a favorite of mine.

BOYS:
Navendra is fantastic. I love the female Nevena and this is very close.
Sahil is also nice. The rest are a bit hard for my palate. My favorite male Indian name is Mohinder (not that you asked!)
GIRLS:
They all sound lovely. Especially fond of Geethanjali!!Tulsi and Presna are pretty cool too. Manisha is probably my least favorite.

Cool thanks for sharing! Where in India were you? Sometimes I try to gauge where certain Indian names are used in different pats of the country; but a lot of times, especially with first names, they're just used all over.

I was in Jaipur and Delhi. I'm guessing there must be some linguistic difference, but the most obvious difference is Hindu vs. Muslim.

I really like Mira! The others aren't really my style. But I like Lila, Mina, Shanti, Sajani and Lakshmi a lot.
