Bridget
What do you think of Bridget? Any nickname ideas~ Always end the name of your child with a vowel, so that when you yell the name will carry ~

I like Bridget a lot. And the three I've known well just never used a nn - OK, when one of them was a young teenager she was Bridgie, but it didn't last. The only thing that puts me off is that two out of the three were actually Brigitte like Ms Bardot, but pronounced as if it was Bridget. I could never get my head round that.

I can't get the Bridget Jones association out of my head. I like the simplicity of Bridget but for that reason I might consider changing the spelling to Bridgette. There is nothing wrong with Bridget Jones, I like her, but the association is so so strong for me right now. Bridge and Bridgie but it works without a nickname too. It seems a bit dated.

I went through a phase a few years ago of really liking it. It's somehow mature and youthful at the same time. It's upbeat and very colorful. My favorite nickname for it is Bridie.

Bridget is nice. Do you like it spelled Bridget or Bridgette? I like Bridget better, Bridgette's too complicated. Nicknames would be... Bridge, Bridgy, Birdy, or Britta

I like Bridget a lot, though I prefer it as Brigid. I think Bride or Bridie are the traditional shortenings, though it's a short name in itself and IMO doesn't need shortening any further

I love Bridget. I went to high school with a Bridget who went by Brigie, which I think is adorable. Bridie I also think is adorable.

I like it, might have used it for a daughter, had we had another one. I also works well with our vowel-ridden last name;unlike your signature, my kids' names are best not ending in a vowel.I'd probably, inspite of it not being a good idea, call a little Bridget" Biddy".

I really like Bridget. Bee and Bri/Bree are the most obvious nicknames but Gette/Jet could work, maybe Biddy also. I personally like Bridie the most, in fact I'd probably use Bridie as a full name over Bridget.
