Snowflake
Okay, maybe this is crazy, but I thought of this in the crazy celebrity name thread below. However now I think it's kind of cute :P As a middle name, with a relatively normal first name. It just gives me such a beautiful image.
Something like:Eliana Snowflake
Clara Snowflake
I would probably not do this in real life, but do you think it might work?

It has a modern meaning. It means "someone who is coddled." I would steer clear.

Sorry but, I think it's terrible!

Definitely no. Especially with it being used so frequently recently as a sort of insult for someone who thinks they are special and unique.

No.Snow - maybe, at a push, in the middle name with a very good reason behind it (e.g. baby was born in a snowdrift / parents met snowed in at the pub etc). But Snowflake is too much *white kitten*.That being said... When I commuted to University in my first year, I used to see some wildly beautiful sunsets across the fields, it was like the sky was on fire. And this got me thinking about a name Firesky - beautiful with a hint of danger... Maybe for a dystopian heroine.

Ohhh I like that! I love reading books about that topic and Firesky would be great for a character!

I wouldn't use Snowflake, but absolutely would use Snowdrop as a middle. I think it's the 'flake' that puts me off

Snowdrop is cute!

Cute for a pet, yes! I think the 'flake' makes it off-putting for a human though -

great name for a petOtherwise, nope, even as a mn, especially with the derogatory impications it has acquired recently.

I agree with noel, it doesn't work at all anywhere, because of flake and special-snowflake.
Snowfall maybe, or Snow-Crystal. Still flakey, but at least doesn't come out and say it. :-)

Yes, you are right! I hoped it might work anyway but it is very obvious. And special snowflake is a thing too, I forgot about that. Too bad :P I was starting to like it. Snowfall would be cool for a character!

lol, no.Snow might work. I agree it's a beautiful image. The flake part is just flaky, though, and it has strong undertones of "special snowflake" to me, which makes it sound awful, even as a middle name.

Yes, you are right. It was late yesterday and I didn't really think about this but it is flaky :P Snow is actually really nice but since reading The Hunger Games ages ago all I think of is that evil guy :/
