Liam
What are your thoughts on Liam? I think I prefer it as a shortening for William but not sure. I actually really like William too but not so keen on Will.~ Always end the name of your child with a vowel, so that when you yell the name will carry ~

I don't even like Lee. Or Leigh. And sticking a sort of Um on the end does not improve the sound.

My preferred nn for William is Billy, followed by Will. I'm not overly keen on Liam, it's a bit dated to the 80s/90s in the U.K.

I really like it! I prefer it on its own but I don't reject the idea of it being used as a nickname. I honestly prefer Liam to William but its good as a nn as well as a standalone.
Though all the Liam's I've ever known were just Liam, no William

Meh. I don't really love it or really hate it, but object to its popularity. If my coming grandchild is a boy, his name will be William nn Liam. I far prefer Will as a nickname, but it's taken. It's what my son William is called.

Hi Mareasi !!!Liam is far better than Bill.
But Liam is also worse than Will.Liam has an unpleasant sound imo.
I much prefer Will as NN for William although I like saying names without shorten them.

In general, William's nn will be Bill or Liam. Liam is kinda pretty.
Please vote on my lists, thanks!
