Briana or Brianna?
We would like to use one of these names for our daughter, but we're not sure which spelling we prefer. Which one do you think looks better? Would you pronounce them differently and if yes, how would you pronounce them?

I'd pronounce Brianna bree ANN uh. I wouldn't be sure about Briana: I'd guess it was probably pronounced the same as Brianna, but could be bree AH nuh or even Bryan-uh. If I wanted the bree ANN uh pronunciation I'd stick with the most common spelling.

I do pronounce them differently. I say Brianna as bree-anna and Briana as bree-ah-nuh. I prefer Brianna.

I like Brianna better - Briana always seemed incomplete to me. I'd pronounce them the same - bre-ahn-na. I also like Breanna.

I doln't really have a preference, I like them all, but if asked to pick a "default" spelling I'd pick Brianna. I'd just pronounce Briana, Breanna, and Brianna the same way: Bree-ANN-a.

My sister is Briana. I actually prefer the spelling Breanna though. She goes by Bri/Bree or sometimes Breeze or Breezy.

Briana is better IMO. And yes I pronounce them differently. Briana rhymes with Ana and Brianna rhymes with Anna. I've seen people mix those up before but idk.

I say Briana as Bree-AH-nuh and Brianna as Bree-A-nuh, with a short A like in cat. Brianna is one of the few names where I prefer the -anna ending. It sounds and feels more natural to say, and I'm more used to it.

I'd be more likely to say Briana like "bree-awn-a" and Brianna like "bree-anna."To me, Briana emphasizes the fact that it's from Brian, and Brianna is more like it's from Bri+Anna. I think Briana looks a little better. They would suit different middle names, do you know what kind of middle name you're going to use?

I prefer the look of Briana. Most -anna names I prefer as -ana (though I like Anna alone just fine). I think the one N spelling looks more polished/tailored; it helps me focus on the sounds of the name. The extra N just seems unnecessary to me.I pronounce both Briana and Brianna as bree-AHN-ə, unless I know the bearer is a bree-AN-ə. Bree-AHN-ə sounds more pleasant to me.I'd be slightly more likely to think a Briana was pronounced bree-AHN-ə and a Brianna was pronounced bree-AN-ə.
