I like Joanna and Joan about equally. What puts me off Joanna is the prospect of Jo as a nn.
Joanne is the bland one, IMO. And dated.
For Johanna, I not only pronounce the H, I use the you-HUN-uh pronunciation, which is usual where I live.
I've never seen Johannah, but I'd guess at Jo-Hannah, which I find unattractive.

Joanna isn't bland! It's really pretty. I've only ever met one Johanna and she pronounced it Yo-anna.Joanna Irene used to be a favourite of mine. I also like:Joanna Ruby
Alice Joanna (medieval enough for you?)

I really like Joanna. Thanks to some character associations I now see it as a strong, feisty name with plenty of personality. It feels a little tomboyish I think because of Jo, which I like. Not bland or boring imo. Joanna is definitely my favourite. I did say Johanna the same as Joanna, but I'm reevaluating that, and just avoiding Johanna it for now lol. I don't really like how Jo-hannah sounds (although I like how it looks) and explaining Johanna as Jo-anna doesn't seem worth it. Joanne feels more normal and dated to me (less classic/timeless than Joanna) and Ioanna/Ionana I find awkward to say.
