Sam (f)
For some reason Sam’s been on my mind. I really like how it sounds, but don’t like the full name Samantha. Is there any other name it can be short for other than Samantha or Samara?I just redid my PNL, please vote! https://www.behindthename.com/pnl/174843

I really like Sam too, boyish nicknames for girls have always appealed to me. I dislike Samara for no particular reason but I don't mind Samantha Still, if I had a little Samantha, I can bet she'd be Sam 90% of the time.
You could always go with Sammy / Sammie "Sam", with "-ee" names on the rise, she wouldn't look out of place. Other than that, I'm out of ideas, think you're fighting a losing battle.

Goodness! I entirely despise Sam and all its longer forms, (m) and (f) alike. Sorry, therefore - I really can't help.Perhaps you could play the initials game. Find an S name you don't mind, and add an A and an M. For instance, I could live with Sarah Alice Marie, and she could live with her monogram!

I have a aunt who was sometimes called Sam by her coworkers. This was because her initials were S.A.M.

The only ones I can think of are Samina and Samira.

Samiya (I have Alan Turkish friend with this name spelt Samia)
SamiraYou could make it the middle name and call her Sam. Elizabeth Sam / Elizabeth Samantha 'Sam'
Mary Sam
Rachel Sam
Rebecca Sam
*insert family name here* Sam
Or something like this:Sarah Anneliese Mary 'Sam'
Susanna Angelica Marie 'Sam'
Sophia Amara Madeleine 'Sam'...
You get where I'm going with this.

Well, there's Samuela or Samuelle, but really, who is named those? Not too many, to be sure.I guess it could be a nn for Jessamine, but if you have to reach that far, I think it's best to reevaluate.

Most of these seem like kind of a stretch to me. Sam makes sense as an NN for Samara and Samuelle but not the others.

I feel the opposite, Sam feels young and fun to me and Samantha feels old and drab imo.
