Basil
It's a name that I want to like but I can't get fully behind it. It just sounds so old and musty and yet, somehow I like it...sort of.WDYT?Formerly KatjaEidisMy PNL is now rateable!:

I am fully behind Basil. I have an early Maryland ancestor named Basil Burton, so I would use it. I also really like Baz. What a cute nickname for a rambunctious boy — packs a better, fresher punch than Max.Basil Josiah is my go-to.

I love it! It's really debonair to me, and I love the nickname Baz.

It's in my top 10 currently. I pronounce it differently than I would the plant. It makes me think of Byzantine art, fresh herbs, and brown leather shoes. I also get a sassy/snarky vibe from it that I like.

Love it!Basil (pronounced like the plant) is the number one boy name for both DH and I. It's a Russian Saint name, which is important for his family, too.

Basil is classy and old, yeah, but I’m a good way, I think.
I like the air it has to it.
