Auburn
WDYT?
Good as a first name or better in the middle?

I’ve thought of this before as a name. I like it but don’t like the ‘burn’ part too much. Don’t have a preference about whether it’s a fn or mn.

As random-words-as-names go, it's not the worst. But I can't decide if it would be stranger if the kid didn't end up with red hair or if they did. It's like naming a kid "Brunette" or "Freckled" or "Pale". What was the expectation there?

It just seems sort of cheap to me and reminds me of a hair color. Not a fan.

This is the name of my hometown so I personally think it’s odd for a person’s name. It might work as a middle name.

I like it as a first name. There was a boy named Auburn in my high school but I think it's pretty unisex. It's nice and earthy, and not dated like Aubrey.
