I pronounce it mad-uh-line.It seems a lot of people pronounce it the same as Madelyn, but I can't get that...

I'd say it like mad-eh-LEN, with emphasis on the -len. I like that pronunciation best. It sounds more elegant and refined to me than the MAD-eh-lyn pronunciation with emphasis on mad.

Never liked it, I think it mainly has to to with the fact that my alcoholic aunt is named Madelaine, and that I went to school with a freakshow named Madeleine. I prefer the Madeleine spelling over Madeline though, but I also pronounce them differently. Madelene is also used here.

Mad-Uh-Line. I think that one is my favorite, and I love the sound of the name but not the association with Magdalene and even though Madeleine is more neutral, it still bothers me.

Because I'm an Anglophone American, I pronounce Madeleine as MAD-ə-lin. However, I know in Francophone places this would be mad-ə-LEN (or just mad-LEN).

I love it!
I say MAD-a-lin but there was a time where I considered using it and I was unsure of how other people would pronounce it. I like MAD-a-lin as well as the French MAD-LEN :)
