Anna is beautiful, if a bit boring. I'd pair it with something of equal or greater beauty, like:Anna Cecily
Anna Magdalen
Anna Katharine
Anna Betony (mind if I steal it, Pia [Piccadilly]? lol)
Anna Therese

Of course not! It's a rather great combo, if I do say so myself. Anna Cecily is very sweet. I had it on my list but decided to drop it in the end since I went another direction with my combos. Two thumbs up!Anna Magdalen is beautiful.

I love the name Anna, it's a perennial favorite. If I were to have an Anna today her name would be Anna Betony. It combines my love of "cozy" names and nature names. These would also make my (long) short list:
Anna Sun - purely because of the song "Anna Sun" by Walk The Moon.
Anna Marigold
Anna Josephine - if I felt like honoring
Anna Eugenie / Eugenia - also if I felt like honoring
Anna Lively
Anna Iris
Anna Iphigenia
Anna Eulalie
Anna Seraphim

Anna Betony is nice--a pretty alternative to the boring Bethany!

I wouldn't use Anna at all. It's the blandest of bland names. The positive thing is that you can pretty much pair it with any other name (preferably a name that makes Anna come to life). Some suggestions:
Anna Xanthe
Anna Esmeralda
Anna Veronica
Anna Josephine
Anna Ophelia
