I love Edith. Betsy isn’t too bad, except it reminds me of a grandmotherly-looking, cookie-baking 18th century dressmaker or something. Kinda like a Martha Washington-ish grandma figure. Doesn’t seem to fit a child and especially not a teenager.

I love both of these names! They’re cute but serious, so old that they’re fresh again. Betsy definitely works better as an NN for Elizabeth.

I love both, but Betsy gives me more of a down-home feel where Edith is cosmopolitan.

I'm the other way. I really enjoy Betsy, which seems cheerful and friendly, even though the only Betsy I've known IRL (sister of a friend, full name Elizabeth) was anything but.Edith retains a little medieval charm, but not enough. Too breathy. My late MIL was Edith Elizabeth, but nobody ever used either - she was universally known as Bunty, including by her grandchildren. And the only other Edith I've ever known was/is Edith Linda Marie, which sounds OK but none of them seem to go well with the others!

I like Edith Linda Marie. Yes it’s dated but that’s kind of a plus for me, and the flow of these names is really good imho.

Though I don't really like Edith, I have to admit that Edith and Betsy are very cute together. I do like Betsy, though it isn't a favorite and I far prefer other nicknames for Elizabeth.

I don't care for Betsy either, along with Bess and Bessie it's got to be my least favourite nickname for Elizabeth.I do like Edith, though.

I like them both and I think they’re sweet together!

I love Betsy and I'm so-so on Edith, but I think Edith is charming alongside Betsy. I like the sibset.

I think Betsy is kind of sweet, but I never liked Edith.

I have always had an irrational hatred of Betsy. Even when I was a kid I hated the name. No idea why. The only other name I hate as much is Whitney and I have no idea why I dislike Whitney so much either. Edith is just meh to me.

I think I like Betsy for a very specific reason: growing up, the local library "adopted" a manatee named Betsy and had her pictures everywhere, so I associate the name with an adorable animal. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't think much of it.

I normally don't get too upset with names. If I don't like a name I'm normally just meh about it.But Betsy and Whitney just annoy me.
