A bit old fashioned, but pretty. Though Francesca I prefer, Francine is charming. I once heard of a pug called Francine, a cute dog she was and the name sounded nice for her.

A good friend of my sister's named her daughter Francine. At the time both my sister and I were kind of like, "What?" Not that it was horrible, but just not great and unexpected, but not unexpected in a good way. That Francine must be in her mid-twenties now. I don't like it much, on an American child anyway. It sounds like it's trying too hard and it makes me think of abused women, because of Francine Hughes.

Hi Septapus !!!Uhm...Francine...
I much prefer Françoise, Fanny or even Franny. There is nothing wrong with it but..I prefer other forms.

It's alright although it does sound a bit stuck up or assertive. One of those names that would fit into a certain catergory. Not meaning anything against it.
It makes me think of that one character from a show I used to religiously watch as a child called 'Arthur'

It also reminds me of the Arthur character.
