It is ok. It has a dated feel. I like Mindy as a nickname.

Love it. I don't see it as boring at all, but actually pretty ornate and stately. I associate it with Barbra Streisand's alter ego from On a Clear Day You Can See Forever. I'm not too excited about the possible nicknames; I'd stick with the full name.

Me Linda; you Tarzan?I much prefer either Belinda or Linda.

It's pretty, but I've never been a fan. I like Linda and Melissa more.

It's nice enough. It's better than Linda and Belinda. I've known two women named Melinda. One was my stepmother and she went by a nickname totally unrelated to Melinda and which was based upon her maiden surname. There were only two people in the world who called her Melinda, and they were her parents. I always thought it was a shame. The other Melinda was a friend of mine who went by Mindy and said that she hated her full name.

I don't really care for it. The sound of it just never drew me but at least its significantly better than 'Belinda'

Boring but unoffensive. I think of a cardigan....I met a 20-something Lynda last year and liked her name, though...it seemed spunky, and I'd never thought of Linda as spunky before.

It’s alright. It has warmth to it and “mel” names always make me think of honey. I prefer both Dorinda and Lucinda, but I would be pleased to meet a young Melinda.

I think it sounds a little bland, but there are lots of cool nicknames, like Mel, Melly, and Lindy.
