Macsen
How trendy does Macsen look/sound/feel?
ETA: We live in the U.S. but do have family in the UK and may move there ourselves soon. Not sure if that helps with the idea of perception.

Hi !!!I'm not Welsh so I can't say if it seems trendy or not...I think that it is pretty and underused. I like that it has its own history in Wales.Just for saying.. it seems familiar to an Italian person. Infact we don't have K or X (except for few borrowed words) so the spelling is nice. After that I like the 'mac' in it that reminds the Celts (although I know that it doesn't fit with the meaning, of course).

If I didn't know it to be an established Welsh varient, I'd definitely think it was someone trying to be creative and different with spelling. That said, trendy names generally love to shove x's in where they don't belong, rather than remove them, which definitely tones down the trendiness feel.

Thank you! This is how I feel, I'm just nervous that in the US it could blend in with so many trendy names. But, your point about the cs and x is what i was hoping others would see.
