Why? I work with kids, and names like this make me roll my eyes at the parents.

Trendy, empty and not appealing.

There’s a suit of armor in my boyfriend’s apartment. He stands right next to the door and is always decked out for holidays. His name is Sir Tinley. He’s all I’ll ever be able to think of, lol.

Reminds me of a teacher of mine named Miss Tinsley, and that's not a good association because she was meaner than a cat in a bubble bath! (okay, maybe not that mean, I just wanted an excuse to use a cat simile lol but she wasn't very nice!)So yeah, it's a no from me for Tinley.

Too tinny.Tenley is kind of neat, though. I once met a Tenley (f) about 15 years older than myself.

I think it's an okay name. I like Tenley better myself.

Reminds me of tinsel, it sounds childish, unintelligent and insubstantial.

I think it's ugly as sinAnd sounds sort of cheap and chintzy, maybe because it's close to tinsel
