Millie and Minnie
What do you think of the names Millie and Minnie for twin girls? Please suggest full first names if you think the nicknames go well together. Middle names will be (Millie) Emory Louise and (Minnie) Brooklyn Colette. The combo I am considering at the moment is Millicent Emory Louise and Minerva Brooklyn Colette. Opinions?

Thumbs up for bringing up Millicent, such a pretty and underused name. I'd be happy seeing someone actually use it. It has the same vibe as Amelia (at least for me) but isn't that awfully popular. I like Minerva, too. Hermione is a nice suggestion. Maybe Hermine could also work? Hermine is not as commonly associated with fictional characters. I'd also add Wilhelmina, Romina, Melinda (dated?) or Jasmine (not a personal favorite, but works well). The combos are lovely. Recognizable but not overused middle names. Only nicer if they're honoring. I like Brooklyn personally, but if you or someone feels it doesn't fit with the other names, then probably (Minerva) Colette Brook could also work.

I think Millie and Minnie are terrible for twins (or for siblings in general). You might as well name them Thing 1 and Thing 2.I like the full names individually except Brooklyn, but they’re a bit of a mouthful together. Brooklyn doesn’t really match all the other names.

Any alternative M name suggestions? Each of the middle names has meaning. For "Millie" her first middle name I have honoring Emma and her second middle name is french. Cant use Emmeline. For "Minnie" her first middle name is honoring Brooke and her second middle name is french.

Both make sweet nicknames. I'm afraid I don't like the middle names, save Colette, though. I'd go with Amelia for Millie, and Araminta or Hermione for Minnie.

I'd just go with Emma, I think it's nicer than Emory! I also prefer plain Brooke to Brooklyn, but Brooke and Colette clash with each other. How about Millie Emma Celeste and Minnie Brooklyn Colette?

I don't care if they do have full names, Millie and Minnie sound like a pair of cocker spaniels. And naming somebody Minerva is just mean.

I do see where you are coming from. Do you have any other unique M name suggestions to go with the middle names?

It's almost meaningless in terms of names unless you make a name up out of thin air, and even then chances are good somebody somewhere has already used it, or it means something in another language, or something.

I love Minnie. Don't care for Millie. Don't like them for twins.
