It's a bit TOO biblical, if that makes sense. I like a lot of biblical names, such as Adam, Eve, Naomi, Sarah, Jonah, Seth Elisabeth, etc etc, but Zephaniah is too much. I like the nickname Zeph though, and it also works for Zephyr, which I prefer.

It's alright, about like Zachariah stylewise but more interesting because Zach is so common. More like Jedidiah or Nehemiah, which I've seen used before. It made me think of Theophania, which I've been fond of this week. It's funny to me that the -phan- part means "appearing" while the -phan- in Zephaniah means "to hide".It also sounds like Stefan, Zephyr, Jeff.

I am acquainted with one. He went by Zephy as a kid and is now Zeph as an adult. It's a heck of a lot of a name, and I'm not a fan. His sister's name is Kayla.

I like Zephanya (zeph-ahn-yuh) as a female equivalent. I don't particularly like Zephaniah for a male.

I don't think it's quite my style, but I like it for someone else. It's a good-but-still-uncommon Bible name. Zeph would be a fun nickname. Also, your username is fabulous.
