Well, I prefer this spelling to Miriam, which I have always considered prissy, for some reason. I like the meaning. It's nice.

I think I prefer the Mariam spelling.Nice name, very refreshing, much nicer than Miriam.

Meh. It looks a bit like a weird combo of Mary and Miriam. I prefer the Mariam spelling.

I love Maryam. It reminds me of Maryam Satrapi who wrote Persepolis :) I prefer the Maryam spelling because I pronounce it a bit different from Mariam, ie more like mar-yahm versus mar-EE-ahm? Basically Maryam is more like 2 syllables to me.

MariamI prefer the Mariam spelling. Maryam looks disjointed to me somehow, but it is still a nice name.
