Toby
I am really really liking this name, however my husband things it's just a dog's name. Thoughts? I think it's sweet.

The Damon Runyon story 'Tobias the Terrible' is wondrous and irresistible and should turn anyone and everyone on to Toby/Tobias for ever. And I once knew a Toby who was a senior librarian! Though I must admit, it's the name of one of my cats ... but it was given to him in the rescue centre; not our choice at all.

I love it, I think it’s very handsome and sweet. Mostly, though, I’d want it for a nickname, with a full name of either Tobias or Tobin.

I like Toby too, but I agree it sounds kind of canine. Best as a nickname for Tobias.

I can see it more on a dog or a toddler. An adult? Not really. Not even a tween or a teenager. A childhood or endearing nickname yeah. But I'm not a big fan of Tobias either.
