WDYT of Amara? **Starfish and coffee, maple syrup and jam/Butterscotch clouds, a tangerine, and a side order of ham**

It's definitely not ugly, but not my taste either. It's kinda boring in my opinion.

I’m somewhat neutral.
Last school year, I met a beautiful little half black 5 year old girl With the name... as far as I know that’s the only person I’ve ever met with the name, so it’s got a positive association, but I don’t really care for the Mar sound.

Couldn’t think of a more boring name. It’s just a blob.

Can't get the Latin out of my head: 'bitter', as a flavour or a smell, and also 'bitter' as in sadly unpleasant, like an unsuccessful love affair. Not for human use at all!

I like it. It's simple and has a sweet meaning.
Also reminds me of rhyming names like Kamara, Samara, and Tamara.

Love it. My fave combo using this name is Eve Amara. I love the fact that the combo basically means life of Grace.

I think it's pretty, but I'm always unsure how to pronounce it. A-MAR-a? A-MARE-A?

It's ok

amaro/amara means "bitter" in several languages so I think of that. Also, it looks and sounds a bit boring, like Mara with an A in front of it. I don't really like Mara either. It is not bad. I don't hate it, I think I could appreciate Amara on someone else's child.

Not ugly but it's not my cup of tea.

My absolute favorite name for a girl, and has been for years. If I have a daughter this will (hopefully) be it.
