Juno
Thoughts? I just watched Juno for the second time ever (great movie btw, I definitely recommend it) and was thinking about this name. Does it work better for a boy or girl in your opinion? He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man.

I hate the movie and it has forever ruined the name for me. It's a girls name to me.June is much better.

How come you disliked it?

I’d never use it IRL (Juno from Roman mythology isn’t a nice person/goddess) but I think the name is just lovely! I prefer it pronounced YOO-no but the English pronunciation is nice as well. It’s absolutely not usable on a male.

I like Juno on a girl. It puts an ancient spin on June.

I fairly like it, but only on a girl

I'm not a fan of Juno myself. June is okay but dated, and Jupiter is... odd but I prefer it to Juno. Wouldn't use it as a fn though xD Maybe a pet name

I know nothing about the movie, but Juno is unimaginable on a boy. You might as well name him Arabella.I find it a bit of a stretch for a girl too, actually. It's a one-owner name, and she wasn't much of a goddess: all she ever seemed to do was be thoroughly nasty to anyone Jupiter had been shagging. Not an association I'd value.
