I used to adore this name. The Twilight association and consequent spike in popularity has tempered my enthusiasm somewhat. I still like it. But I don't love it.

It’s ok, I can’t muster anything more enthusiastic for it. I’ve never met a young one, so it is very much an old lady name to me. The sound is nice enough. Esmeray is more interesting to me.Drawing a blank with combos, although for some reason I want to pair it with Ruby. Ruby and Esme sound like sisters from the 1920s? Esme Winifred? Most ‘old lady’ names would fit I suppose.

Adore the name Esme, it’s beautiful. I’ve loved it ever since I was a kid. There are so many names that work well with it, just depends on what style you’re going for I suppose.
