Beautiful name, and I don't mind the yachting associations. But, I much prefer Marinus for a boy, so I'd never think of using it.

Love it! I like how it’s familiar but uncommon at the same time.

I rather like it although it quickly brings to mind a boat Marina. If that has special meaning to you & you don’t mind her having that for the rest of her life. What about Marianna? Martina?
