I prefer Ostara.

I was thinking about this name yesterday after pondering how Sylvester is not seen as a real name by some people due to the "New Year's Eve" connection, and trying to think of an English equivalent. Easter and Christmas are both holiday-names that someone might think are never given to real people. I like Easter. It's sunny and cheery. I like that it's technically a goddess name, if you trace the etymology back! Ostara is quite lovely too. I love these tricksy hyper-Christian names that are actually pagan in disguise ;) Also I just thought of the idea of calling an Easter "Bunny" as a nickname and that made me laugh. Huh! Yes, I actually quite like this name! I'd love to meet one.

A whole lot better than Hallowe'en. I knew a Pascalina once; I assume that was the same thing, but it sounds more like a human name than Easter does.

I kinda like it.
Wouldn't use, but I'd appreciate it if I saw it in the wild.

I actually really like Easter as a name. I get a lot of imagery of spring flowers and pastel colours. If Noel/Noelle is okay, then why not?

It's a surname, mostly. Pascal and it's variants are more namey and have the same type meaning.

Don't like it at all

I think they're nicer names relating to Spring. Easter just doesn't sound great. I think I would call her Easter Egg as a term of endearment that would just end up being embarrassing.Esther is pretty. I could even work with Sunday.Elizabeth Easter
