Solid, dependable, boring, dated. Better than Marty, I guess.

I really don't like the sound of Martin. I also find it too dated and not in a way where it should ever make a comeback.

Feels very boomerish.

Marty is a cute NN but Martin seems decidedly dated to me

I've always been puzzled by Martin. It seems to fit so neatly with all the other two-syllable-ending-in-n names, and yet it's never caught on in that fashion. Perhaps it seems dated? I like it much better than most other -n names, though not enough to use.

It's simple, pretty and nice! Also, its meaning is really cool.

I was just thinking about this name yesterday! I adore Martin. It's such a warm, friendly name. I like that it's a very subtle "nature" name. I like Martine and Martina too, but Martin is definitely the cutest.
