Guinevere nickname Gwen
I really like Guinevere and the nickname Gwen, mostly because it is very close to Guin anyways and if a girl went by Guin I think it's inevitable people would call her Gwen anyways. Is it okay or should it be one of the Gwen- spellings then? *I don't like Gwendolyn as much but like it okay, to answer the question* I appreciate the help.

I don't think it's too much of a stretch it makes sense to me. Guinevere is one of my favorite names on the long list though I like Genevieve a little bit more. Do you like that one?

I think Gwen is fine as a nickname for Guinevere. I prefer Guinevere as a full name with no nicknames, it's a beautiful name by itself. However, I also like Winnie as a nn.Mn's Guinevere HannahGuinevere BlairGuinevere VioletGuinevere AbigailGuinevere PearlGuinevere PaigeGuinevere Eve

I've always thought that Guinevere's NN would be Ginny or Jenny.
And Guin /gwɪn/ and Gwen /ˈgwɛn/ still sound a bit different, don't they?
In any case, I like Guinevere and Ginevra, Gwen not so much.

Thank you for your opinion. I like Ginny too I just always have liked the nickname Gwen best but maybe you're right. I like Ginevra too, and Geneva I saw someone mention once on here the other week and I love it. My favorites are the G and J names we use those a lot in my family I'll probably pick one of those.

Guinevere Amy or Guinevere Phoebe maybe would hit that sweet spot of pretty but still fitting in. Do you like Guinevere Kathryn? that is my mom's name but I am so so on it. She goes by Kathy but Guinevere Kathy doesn't sound right. My husband's mom is a Teresa and so I like Guinevere Teresa too. I should probably just put the list on here eventually. Mae and Kate would be nice too.

oh I like those ideas! Guinevere Maria, Guinevere Isabel, Guinevere Diana, Guinevere Jane and Guinevere Rosalind all sound like fairy princess names. Guinevere Ruth is cute too. I'm not even for sure which I like the most.
