It's not bad but the sound doesn't really appeal to me very much. I also dislike Maggie or Gennie or anything else you could come up with as a nickname.

Aw, I actually like Magenta. I think it's the "nta" ending.

Don't really like it

I don't know what you've done. I'm not normally a fan of "color names" but... I'm kind of into this! Not as into Madge as a potential nickname, though. Much more likely to go with Genny / Gen.

It’s okay. It always reminds me of the character Magenta from Blue’s Clues.

Same.

I was also going to say, my mind went to Blue's Clues before it did Rocky Horror; but I guess there would be fun associations in both childhood and adulthood!

there was also a Magenta in Disney's Sky High about a high school for teenage superheros. She was a goth girl who could turn into a guinea pig lol!

Love the color, hesitant about Magenta as a name. I guess there are some okay nickname possibilities, like Gen, Gennie, or Madge, as another poster suggested.

Not a fan of the color or the name.

This is one of my guilty pleasures, I think it's very cute. I wish more people liked it I think it has a lot of potential.

I like it. You could have discovered the next trendy colour name!Scarlett is old news, Indigo didn’t quite make it, maybe Magenta will catch on...

I agree it seems like it could be that!

Very Rocky Horror, I'm into it. I'd love to find out that a Madge is short for Magenta!I feel like Magenta is more nameish than Fuchsia or even Indigo.
