Eydis
I just removed Gwendolyn from my top 25 girl names and replaced it with Eydis. It's been easing its way up into my favorites for a while, mostly via a favorite combo of mine: Mina Clara EydisWhat do you all think of Eydis?
My PNLs = http://www.behindthename.com/pnl/37275Top: Henry and Clara (main) / Sirius & Guinevere (GP) / James & Charlotte (top25)
Bottom: Delsin and Brisen (main) / Dinadan & Ninniane (GP) / Corvo & Deva (top25)

Eydis sounds romantic and mythical. It sounds like a river nymph or goddess. I love Gwendolyn more, but Eydis is on my PNL.

I love Eydís. It gives me visualizations of a Scandinavian goddess or queen in a tropical island. Really green, spunky, and vibrant. Eydis is the same thing of course, but it hits different without the í. It also looks good as Eydïs.

The meaning is nice but I dislike the sound.I thought it was Welsh at first.I prefer the similar Welsh name Eirlys.Or Sóley or Sunniva for Scandinavian names.Mina is too boring for me, it just has such a bland sound even though it isn't common, sorry! I like Clara.Clara Eirlys is stunning.
