Fiona?
What do you think? I know that a lot of people dislike Fiona just because of the character in the movie Shrek, but that isn’t a stereotype for judging, right?

I personally…Love this name a lot, I don’t really watch Shrek, although I think I watched a miniscule amount in my teens…I don’t really remember.

It’s okay, I really don’t care for the Shrek character.

I like it, I think it has similar cute but slightly awkward vibes similar to Penelope. I actually have thought Fiona and Penelope would be a cute sister set before.

I absolutely love this name!

I met a young Fiona and now I really like it. It works surprisingly well on a real (and young) person, and I don’t think of the Shrek connection really at all anymore. There’s Fiona Gallagher (the character), too.

Somehow I think of a pig - was there a cartoon with a pig named Fiona? Googled it, apparently there are books called "Fiona the Pig". Apart from that side note I don't really care for the name, although I can see it becoming popular as it has the same style as Maeve and a similar sound as Sophia.

Delightful! Fresh and lively, familiar without being too well used: I don't think it needs a nn, but the Fiona people I know all go by Fee, which I find discouraging. As for Shrek, Fiona is a very pleasant, positive character, so what's the problem? Being green?

Indeed! :)I completely agree with you! Fiona, in my honest opinion, is a delightful name!

I like it and don't think Shrek matters.
It was ironic in Shrek anyway imo, since it's a very non-ogreish name and also non-princessy.

It's very pretty and underused, but it's strongly associated with Shrek's wife. :(

It’s an ok name, I don’t personally associate it with Shrek. I find it a bit dull though.

It's one of my favorite names, actually. I don't think that it matters, at all.

I always disliked it even though I should like it (I like Fionn and Finn and lots of similar names).I dislike it because I hear "Fionaaaaaaaaaaa" yelled in the movie "Eurotrip" and also because of Shrek.I just disliked the Shrek character and I think most people wouldn't like to be associated with her. She creeped me out as a child even though I found the movies funny in general.Sorry :( But I do sort of like Iona.

I think it's pretty, but I wouldn't use because of that correlation
