Tawny
WDYT of Tawny? On a scale of 1-10, what would you rate it?What would you use for a middle name, and what would you name a brother and sister? **After supposedly dying on January 30, 2007 after eating tainted pancakes, she returned several times as an angel and was revealed to be alive on May 17, 2011. )**

I feel like it's similar to Ruby or Olive but browner and flat, and the sound brings to mind names like Dawn, Tammy, or Tonya.6/10 because it's namey and not boring.Tawny Jocasta
Tawny Melina
Tawny Mildred
Tawny Almira
Tawny Iris
Tawny Harmony
Tawny Laetitia
Tawny Isabel
Tawny Julissa
Tawny Hepzibah
Tawny Jocelyn
Tawny Tabitha
idkI would probably name a sister something like Twyla, Kelda, Tess, or Merle. A brother is harder. Something like Teddy, Wade, Joel, Rufus seems passable, but I don't quite like those enough right now to even pretend I'd use them. Maybe Ike, Sterling, Ferris, or Asher.Tawny Melina and Sterling Jason
Tawny Laetitia and Tess Almira
Tawny Isabel and Kelda Harmony

7/10 - Tawny is cute. It is very informal sounding and might work best on a pet or a spritely character in a story. If Tinkerbell didn't have a fairy friend named Tawny, then she should have. While Tawny is technical a color name, it feels more nature themed and organic.

I give it a 5. I like it in theory but I think it’s kind of “trashy” for the lack of a better word. Sisters: Star, Bambi, Brandy, Holly, Fawn
Brothers: Ryan, Scott, Toby, Justin

The sound of it is nice - I rhyme it with Bonnie, I don't say the first syllable like tawdry ... I don't like the look of the letters AW, though.
I like the idea of the color as a name, I guess, but it seems more rustic rather than romantic, compared to Sienna. More of a hair-color name than a landscape-color name.5/10Tawny Mariah & Tarn Virgil

It's a zero. Look up "stripper name" and that'll be the first example shown. It's like Bubbles or Blondie, very low-rent and dated; you'd expect a stripper from around 1970 to use it.

Ooh - sorry, Starfish, I should have included that in your Dog Names list in the Lounge. Honest - I spent the night once, as a student, with an acquaintance whose family owned a large, fluffy dog named Tawny. It gets better. Tawny and the girl next door prodced a litter of puppies, one of which was kept and named, brace yourself, Fawny.Assuming that the Tawny I knew was in fact human, then its, OK his, sibs would have been Bruce and Jill.
