Sylvanus
I saw the name Sylvanus in a book. I think it’s pretty cool, but I’m not sure it’s usable. Thoughts?

I love this. In real life, I'd use Sylvan as a first name. Sylvanus is usable as a middle name with a shorter/simpler first name.

It’s okay. I wouldn’t use except for a book character though. For a child I prefer Silvio.

I don’t really care for it, but I don’t hate it.I prefer Sylvan, Silvan, Silvano or Silvio

Hi !!!Here in Italy we use simply Silvano.
I like Sylvanus and I think that's fascinating. In the English-speaking world it is totally useable in my opinion.

I find Sylvanus pleasant and nerdy, but it's only usable as a name for a fictional character.I don't find it usable in real life because of... well, the ending; it's a shame because it's a nice name. :(However, there is Sylvan, which is a modern variant and I like it more. This one is definitely usable and could fit in with Aidans, Matthews and Xanders.

Don't like it

It's so cool! Saturnine but also slinky...I don't think it's that unusable. "-us" names are popular, and "Syl" isn't a cumbersome opening.
