Olwen Tesni
WDYT of Olwen Tesni? I have Welsh ancestry which I am very proud of. My great grandmother spoke Welsh fluently although her last name was the very Welsh Connelly which gives you another hint to my ancestry.

I feel like I should love Olwen, but it isn't my first choice of Welsh name. I think I might like the name reversed, to Tesni Olwen, better.

It's cute! I always forget about Tesni, what a nice name. And I really like Olwen, such a great meaning.

I love Olwen, as in 'Dream of ...', but the sound puts me off: olw, like gulping something a bit too large for the throat. Tesni is gorgeous, but I'd use Tessa instead. I can trace one of my ancestral lines back to a very-great grandfather named Morgan Davies, but he's a dead end so far.Isn't Connelly Irish?

Yes Connelly is Irish. I have Irish ancestry too. There are some Welsh last names in the family like Davies and Thomas. I also have ancestors with Welsh first names like Elfan and Gwenllian.
