Matthew Michael
A friend of mine has just had a baby boy and named him Matthew Michael as a first name and middle name not a double barrelled first name.I like though don’t love both names individually but am not feeling them together as a combo. WDYT?

I don’t like the alliteration, personally. I like them both separately, or as a sibset for twin boys. Of them both, I prefer Matthew.

Congratulations to your friend. :)Don't care for the combo, though I quite like both names individually. On the whole, I'm not a fan of alliterative names. I did once know someone named Matthew Mark, and I do prefer Matthew Michael to that, but would rather see both names used elsewhere.

It’s not horrible but the sound could definitely be better. Very boring but I never seen him paired together before so that’s nice.

2 boring overused names in a weird combo.

I wouldn't use them for twins, let alone in a name combo. Both names are fine (Really can't go wrong with them, although I do prefer Matthew more) but they just don't work together. It seems more like the parents couldn't decide between either name, and just decided to use both.

Matthew seems more dated than Michael where I live; perhaps Michael has had a long enough break and can now be used again? I like it, but I really dislike Matthew, regardless of popularity.
