Olwen / Olwyn
Hi! What are your thoughts on the name Olwen? Do you prefer it spelled Olwyn? What would you pair it with? It seems very magical and fun to me.

Olwen, as in Dream Of, is beautiful but in an English-speaking environment it would risk being shortened to Ollie, so strictly mn only.Olwyn looks fake.

Olwen is a family name and I love it. Mr and I have agreed on the middle names Carys Tesni too. My great grandmother was fluent in Welsh but sadly despite her children also being born in Wales My great grandmother Olive never taught them. My family are miners from the Valleys of South Wales.

My son was in preschool with an Olwyn! It fit her, she was smart and quiet. There was always confusion with if her name was Owen through…

Nice enough. As a Welsh girl name it should be spelled Olwen.

This name is beautiful! My school mascot was an owl called Owlwyn 😂. I like it spelt Olwen, because I’m not a fan of Ys.

I think you like it after you saw this name from Canielle's post in ari's "What would you name..." post lolI think Olwen sounds snowy and I can see it growing on me. I like Canielle's combo Olwen Arrietty too. I prefer it spelled as Olwyn.Nevermind, I prefer spelled as Olwen
