Name/Nickname
Just read about a young woman whose given name was Drusilla, her nickname was Dusty. Understand that nicknames don't necessarily have anything to do with the given name, but this one seemed odd to me. I would probably gone with the diminutive, Silla.
Opinions?

Dusty is kinda a weird nickname, but Drusilla is kinda a weird name. At least Dusty has some potentially to be bit cute/quirky.

It’s a bit of a stretch, but I would much rather be Dusty than Drusilla or Silla.

I agree with you. The nickname Dusty is quite weird too, but who knows, maybe her name was Drusilla Stella so her nickname is Dusty 🤷I prefer Dru as the nickname for Drusilla.

*shrugs* Just about anything would be better than Drucilla. Dusty isn't really that far off as a nn; no more so than Dolly for Dorothy-with-no-l-in-sight, or Buffy for Beverly.
Dusty's kinda cute in a cowgirl sort of way.
