Dreadfully dull. Robin is a good alternative.

A good, serviceable name with a long history.

I think it's nice

Robert is very smooth looking. But I don't like most of the nicknames for it. Rob, Bob, etc.

I agree, although I love the nickname Bobby (good association)

Robert is classic and dignified. It has a bunch of good potential nicknames and it looks good on paper too.

Absolute classic, bullet proof and still quite handsome. Know a Robert in four age groups, one goes by Bob (50s), one is Rob (40s), Bobby (20s), and one Robert (11), there's a lot of flexibility with it.

Boring. Old sounding.
Not a fan of Bob or Bobby as a nickname either.

I think it’s outdated. I have never met a Robert my age.

Can't go wrong with Robert. My nephew is 8 and his name's Robert. He goes by the full name, by Bobby and also Bobert.

My wonderful great-uncle has made me love Robert unconditionally; however, it is seriously dated as well as being classic and I would use Robin (male only) instead. I really would use Robin.
