I like Todd. I know at least one Todd, who's very nice. It does seem a little dated these days.

I like it. The meaning “fox” makes it a nice animal/ nature name without being as obvious as “Wolf” or “Hawk”. Friendly, familiar, and earthy. Also makes me think of autumn.

Tod(d) always reminds me of the German word for dead. I also knew an elderly woman (80+) named Todd which I always found a bit odd (no pun intended). Despite those associations I do think the name sounds very friendly.
