Jordan
Thoughts on the name Jordan? For a boy, girl, both, or neither? This name was popular in my generation (Z).

As a fellow member of Gen Z, I know SO MANY people named Jordan, Jordyn, Jordynn, Jourdan, Jorden, Jordin, and even a Jordana. However, I still really like the name Jordan. I can see why it got so popular where I am.

Jordan is okay. I feel like it’s fairly unisex but maybe more masculine. I think it’s a good unquestionable name. Not much to really say.

I like Jordan for both genders, but I prefer it for girls.

I honestly like it for a girl. I have too many bad associations with trouble maker boys.

Always kind of liked it but only on boys on whom I find it vaguely handsome, I will never see it as a good thing on a girl.

Regardless of gender I think Jordan sounds ugly.

Works for both. I don’t really care for it. It’s not ugly, it’s just not my cup of tea. A lot of people claim it’s ugly on girls but it has a surprisingly long history with them. I found it surprising when I heard it in the Great Gatsby, because you don’t see it a lot that far back in history, let alone on a woman.

I searched it up, and Jordan was actually the name of a popular car company at the time. So it would be sort of like a girl being named Mercedes or Portia today.
