Delaney
For a long while, I’ve liked the name Delaney for a girl. It overall feels like a chill name; it reminds me of ocean waves. Also, the nicknames Laney, Lane, and Dee are wonderful in my opinion. How do you feel about the name Delaney?

It's all surname to me; I was at school with a Delaney (ln) girl who was a pain in the butt.

Never understood why people thought this worked as a girl's name, it's so very much a surname. Knew a most obnoxious family with this name, three more entitled little trollops you've never seen.

The only Delaney I've ever known was an older lady who I went to art school with. She was in her 60s and was like "F*@k it, I'm getting an art degree". She had bright orange-red hair in a pixie cut and loved wearing chartreuse. It really left an impression on me. Delaney is a pretty cool name. It's more funky-calm to me than ocean-calm.

I've always really liked it.

It's nice. I agree, it's chill, and Laney is an awesome nickname. I would use it for a character but it's not my style for one of my own kids.

I really like it too. Since it is also a surname, it could be considered gender neutral, but I think of it as feminine. Delaney gives me strong athletic girl vibes rather like Ellen Ripley in Alien.

It’s a last name to me. I know a family with that ln.

It's okay, nice sound, but I don't like surnames as given names.

I think Delaney is nice. Cute name, and I think the nickname Laney or Lane is cute. I really like Delaney Ruth together, vintage and cheerful in appearance.
